Gazing at the Tilted Stones

I sat next to my mother’s grave early one morning – wrote this song…all the tombstones leant over – except my mother’s – hers was brand new.

Gaze upon those tilted stones

Where lives are laid to rest

Cold granite reflects the morning sun

Winter dew carpeting the ground

Those loved ones once so real

Just memories from the past

I contemplate the meaning

Of those that lived on earth

One day the time will come

When we will meet again

Hold hands once more

Rejoice again in harmony

And be remembered

By loved ones

Gazing upon those tilted stones.

Lyrics – Michael Forty
