Why ChordStream Exists
I'm Michael Forty — songwriter, tinkerer, and the person behind every lyric on this site. ChordStream started as a simple question: what happens if you just keep writing? No gatekeepers, no waiting for permission — just a story worth telling, turned into a song, recorded, and shared.
Some of these songs are about the small things — a knife in my mother's kitchen, a bench by a harbour, my wife Angie tending her allotment. Others are tributes, hymns, or old poems I couldn't resist setting to music. A few even come back in two or three different versions, because sometimes a song isn't finished the first time you sing it.
